It's the end of the Fall 2018 semester and have our students been busy! Between the Orientation Explore! and Museum Studies student groups we have... Created a digital library with over 3,500 images, digitally preserving many of the artifacts in the Betterton Heritage Museum's collection.

Recorded over 2.5 hours of oral history interviews and time-mapped them for future scholars. Created a virtual reality tour of the museum with over 70 info buttons to help patrons near and far engage with the museum's collection.

This semester we are working on adding descriptions and metadata to the digital library to make it searchable. We are also working with a local teacher to craft lesson plan ideas for utilizing these new resources in K-12 classrooms.

Antique tackle box which is part of the museum's holdings is one of the things included in the digital library and VR exhibit.
