Our project team spent two very productive days a the African American Schoolhouse Museum working to digitize items in the collection. Thanks to the Chesapeake Heartland Digitization Truck, we were able to do our work in a comfortable and well-appointed mobile digitization studio! Our team was honored to take part in the truck's maiden voyage!
The digitized materials will become part of the virtual tour of the schoolhouse and will be incorporated the Chesapeake Heartland digital archive.
One of the most exciting finds during our Digitization Days was a note passed between two students discovered in a textbook from 1964!
