Fantastic Voyage Furthers Understanding

This past Saturday our Making History: Making Museums Orientation Explore! program embarked on our last adventure of the semester, returning once again to Rock Hall's Waterman's Museum. This time, thanks to our colleagues at Washington College's Center for the Environment & Society (CES), we set sail aboard CES research vessel, Callinectes. Captain Mike Deane and Captain Bob Atwater not only provided a fantastic voyage, but provided a wealth of knowledge about the maritime history and culture of Maryland's Eastern Shore.

Upon our arrival to Rock Hall we were greeted by Mayor Dawn Jacobs who accompanied us to Waterman's Museum. There, students worked to photograph and write captions for their their "adopted objects" from our last visit. These photographs and labels will be added to the virtual tour of the museum.
